The SteelSeries Apex Pro features OmniPoint mechanical switches in the form of magnetic sensors that have a significantly faster response time compared to traditional mechanical switches. With mechanical switches you react quickly because you do not have to press the keys completely and they offer little resistance. In addition, the OmniPoint switches have the unique ability to individually adjust the sensitivity for each key to your own liking between 0.4 and 3.6 mm. This is done via a so-called ‘Hall effect sensor’ that allows the keyboard to see exactly how far the key is pressed. This makes the Apex Pro one of the first Gaming keyboards suitable for multiple genres such as shooters, action games, MMO, and RPG games. And you can also work perfectly with it.
