Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition PC review by amp_ZA

So you guys voted I do more game reviews for you on our Amped2Play Facebook Group and I just want to say thank you so much I won’t disappoint. My reviews is going to be short and sweet cause let’s face it who has time to read long in depth articles. We need facts from someone who is picky about games and we need it now !!!! So let’s get to it !!!!

Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition, a Post-apocalyptic, open world, survival horror, first person shooter set in the waist lands of Russia, initial release date 15 February 2019 done by one of my all time fav developers 4A Games, published by Deep Silver and runs on the 4A Graphics Engine which is a topic I immediately want to pause on. I played all the previous Metro’s and they all seemed like they were developed to just totally demolish your system, even the standard Exodus version was super hard on your system when pushed really hard.

With Enhanced Edition, dlss, ray tracing and all the other features are just super optimized this time around. You can really push that settings and expect solid frames with minimal frame drops. I can honestly say that the Enhanced Edition is definitely one of the best looking games out there to date.

So with visuals out of the way the first thing I noticed is the beautiful interactive menu the game has which constantly change the more you progress in the game and I find myself constantly zoning out in the menu for some reason so well done 4A on that.

Metro always was heavily story driven and its no different with Exodus, this time it is on steroids and what is really special to me is you can sometimes feel the feelings between you as Artyom and your love, Anna. Even between you and your allies in good times and bad times you can really feel the vibes which to me makes this game stand out even more from the other Metro’s. The other thing is the character look is just out of this world, so much research and time went into them you can tell that without a doubt.

This brings me to the next point of Exodus. Gunplay, Crafting and Realism. These 3 to me go well together because your standard gear really is not the best and almost just keeps you alive, getting them dirty might jam up your gear and make them less affective but oh boy once that good old upgrades start to roll in which can be fitted at a workbench you can seriously feel the difference with the behaviour of your gear and how the world reacts to it.

There are still so much to say about this masterpiece and one thing that I need to mention is how really intelligent the AI enemy is and how the world reacts to you with the decisions you make and how you choose to do a mission.

Amped2Play I said I was going to keep it short and what I said here to me makes this one of the best story driven shooters I have ever played by far. I can seriously think of no negative things to say about Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition. I also don’t want to give you any spoilers but this is easily a 20+ hours game when you play it properly and as you know you don’t get that with shooters these days any more.

Brilliant storyline, immersive world, the absolute best graphics features you can find, the ending was so special it made me cry

Thumbs Up, Masterpiece – 10/10 !!!!
